Who is Elias Tayeh?

 

Elias M. Tayeh is a seasoned digital finance strategist with over two decades of C-level leadership experience, guiding institutions across the MENA region, West Africa, and beyond, through large-scale transformation initiatives. His career highlights include leading complex financial technology projects, advising on national payment systems, and delivering strategic consultancy that drives institutional growth, operational efficiency, market expansion, enhanced consumer protection, and greater access to finance for SMEs and women-led businesses.

Elias has developed and delivered extensive training and capacity-building programs covering the IT aspects of payments digitalization, the legal, economic, and business frameworks of payments modernization, and other strategic, operational, and compliance-focused areas. These include digital finance, open banking regulations and implementation, digital payments and fraud prevention, AI readiness and adoption in banking, blockchain and crypto asset frameworks, and sandbox-based simulations for policy testing and innovation. He has designed specialized modules on leadership for digital finance executives, Islamic fintech, decentralized finance, RegTech solutions, and IT governance. Institutions that have benefited from his programs include the Institute of Banking Studies (Jordan), the Centre de Formation Bancaire de Tunisie (CBF Tunisia), Alex Bank (Egypt), and the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI).
